Donald Trump surrendered at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. He was booked on felony charges in connection with efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in the state. He was released on $200,000 bail, with conditions about not intimidating co-defendants or witnesses. A mugshot was taken. He was at the jail for just 20 minutes.
Many of Trump's 18 co-defendants, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows and John Eastman, have already surrendered in the election interference case. The rest must report to the jail no later than noon on Friday, August 25th to be booked.
