Rudy Giuliani's mugshot released in Arizona 'fake electors' case

Local officials in Arizona released a mug shot of Trump’s former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, after he was processed on criminal charges for attempting to overturn the 2020 election results in the state.

Giuliani faces 9 felony charges related to the fake elector scheme in Arizona. He is one of 18 people facing charges, including other former Trump attorneys John Eastman, Christina Bobb and Jenna Ellis as well as former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. All defendants pleaded not guilty.


The indictment alleges Meadows worked with other Trump campaign members to submit names of fake electors from Arizona and other states to Congress in a bid to keep Trump in office despite his November 2020 defeat.


Arizona is the fourth state where charges have been brought in relation to efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges so far. 


Giuliani paid a $10,000 bond to be released on Monday, June 10th, 2024.
