New Video Footage Incriminates Chesebro and Kelly in the 2020 Fake Elector Scheme

Recently released security footage from January 5, 2021 sheds new light on Donald Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election. The footage shows attorney Kenneth Chesebro and Trump campaign aide G. Michael Brown handing fake GOP elector documents from Michigan and Wisconsin to aides from Rep. Mike Kelly's (R-PA) office, intending to present them to Vice President Mike Pence.

The video corroborates what Chesebro admitted in a text message on January 6: that he dropped off fake elector documents to Kelly’s aides a day prior.

The security footage, which was released by Congressional Republicans, also shows two of Kelly’s aides dropping the records off at the Senate Parliamentarian’s office. However, the documents were rejected by Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough, leaving the aides uncertain about their next steps and prompting them to contact a top aide to Pence in a last effort to deliver the documents so Pence could reject electoral votes from swing states where Donald Trump had lost to Joe Biden and change the outcome of the election.

This new set of evidence could lead to new charges, particularly for Kenneth Chesebro, who is already facing charges, and Rep. Mike Kelly, who previously denied knowing about any fake electors lists from within his office.
