A California judge made a “preliminary finding” that attorney John Eastman breached professional ethics when he aided Donald Trump’s bid to overturn the 2020 election.
The preliminary finding comes in a ruling from former Trump attorney, John Eastman’s, extensive disbarment proceedings—which focus on Eastman’s action leading up to the January 6th Capitol attack, specifically his plan to reject electoral counts from key states to hinder Joe Biden's path to an Electoral College win and memos outlining other options for overturning the 2020 election results.
California state bar officials are preparing to present more evidence aimed at justifying their call to strip Eastman of his law license.
