KEY PEOPLE IN JANUARY 6TH INVESTIGATION

RUDY GIULIANI 

Rudy Giuliani served in the Justice Department during Ronald Reagan’s administration and later as the New York City mayor during the 9/11 attacks. He joined Trump’s legal team in April 2018 and began spreading election fraud conspiracies which ultimately led to the January 6th Capitol attack.

Eastman

JOHN EASTMAN

John Eastman served as Donald Trump's personal lawyer in the period leading up to the Jan 6 attack on the US Capitol.  He played a central role in the numerous failed legal challenges to the 2020 election outcome, and was one of the main advocates for the theory that Vice President Pence could overturn the election results.

Jeff Clark

JEFF CLARK

Jeff Clark is an environmental lawyer who spent two years as the assistant attorney general between 2018-2020. The lawyer is now infamously known for plotting to use the Justice Department to aid President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

STEVE BANNON

Steve Bannon served as Chief Strategist to President Donald Trump for the first eight months of the Trump Administration. The January 6th Committee subpoenaed Bannon because he is believed to have insider knowledge about the events leading up to January 6th.

ROGER STONE

Stone is Trump’s longest serving political advisor, with a relationship dating back to the 1980s. Stone was a key intermediary between the White House and Proud Boys, a militia group that helped coordinate the January 6th Capitol attack.

GINNI THOMAS

Ginni Thomas is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. 

Ginni Thomas is known to have been part of former President Donald Trump's team trying to overturn the 2020 election results.

BILL BARR

The former attorney general described his interactions with Trump in newly released testimony from the House January 6th Committee. Barr, who Trump appointed attorney general in 2019, said he repeatedly debunked claims of voter fraud to the president in the weeks after the 2020 election.

SYDNEY POWELL

Sidney Powell is a former Trump campaign attorney who rejoined Trump’s legal team in 2020 to aid in his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. Powell was publicly disavowed by the rest of Trump’s legal team after spreading baseless theories about an international conspiracy to steal the election.

BRAD PARSCALE

Brad Parscale served as former President Donald Trump’s campaign manager from February to July of 2020. Before that, Parscale worked on Trump’s 2016 campaign as a consultant and senior advisor.

MARK MEADOWS

Former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows handed 2,319 text messages over to the January 6th Committee that he sent and received between Election Day 2020 and President  Biden's January 20, 2021 inauguration. The plot to overturn the election revealed in Mark Meadow's texts

PATRICK BYRNE

Patrick Byrne, former CEO of Overstock.com, is being investigated for advising President Trump on overturning the election and for inciting the January 6th attack on the Capitol.

SCOTT PERRY

Scott Perry is the Republican House representative for Pennsylvania’s 10th congressional district. Perry is a top ally of former President Donald Trump, and was involved in Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election. He encouraged Trump to replace top Justice Department leaders after losing the 2020 election and to install Jeffrey Clark as the Attorney General.
