Federal Investigation into Trump's Involvement with January 6th Attack
On August 1, 2023, a federal grand jury indicted Donald Trump of 4 counts of criminal felonies. Trump was arraigned in Federal Court in Washington, D.C. at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 3. The charges revolve around Trump’s and 6 unnamed co-conspirators’ efforts to interfere with the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Because of the Supreme Court's recent ruling on presidential immunity, the sentencing for these felonies has been delayed until at least September 2024.
